POSITION SUMMARY
The MCIFS Account Manager works in conjunction with the new and pre-owned private sector sales staff in instances where the customer requires assistance obtaining financing for the purchase of motorcoaches. This position will also support other New Flyer business units as needed. This position is an important component of the sale process working directly with our customer along with 3rd party funding sources to secure the financing required to finalize the coach sale.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Interact with the new and pre-owned sales staff to manage sales/financing opportunities within their assigned sales territory. This position is an active participant in the territory management calls/meetings.
- Direct customer contact to understand the specifics of their coach purchase as well as their financing objectives
- Work with the customer and MCI Sales rep to obtain the appropriate credit information required to secure financing. This may vary depending on the transaction size and complexity.
- Analyze the financial package to determine the best funding source to provide the financing. Prepare a transaction summary and proposed deal structure for presentation to the funding sources
- Negotiate with the customer and funding source to determine the final transaction structure to include term, down payment and rate.
- Work with funding source, MCI sales coordinators and the customer to assure the timely and accurate completion of the financing documents to assure timely funding and coach delivery
- Support the sales activity by participating in customer visits, regional and national trade shows.
- Ongoing identification and development of potential funding sources. Lead program development activities with funding sources as needed to meet business objectives.
- Develop strategic approaches for determining and optimizing deal structures for executive review.
- Travel requirement will be 15%, must be able to travel to Canada.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Over 5 years of experience in relevant areas such as equipment financing and credit underwriting.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Finance, Accounting, E-Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Financial Services / Credit Underwriting Experience
- Excel/PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills to influence internal/external customers and 3rd party funding sources.
