Full Job Description
We have an opening for a Maintenance Supervisor at our Port Washington, WI location. This is a 1st shift (7AM-3PM) position but the schedule will flex to support 2nd (3PM-11PM) and 3rd shift (11PM-7AM).
The Maintenance Supervisor leads employees to safely repair, install, and maintain all machines, equipment, electrical systems, facilities, structures, and grounds in accordance with production specification requirement and Kleen Test Products’ policies and procedures. In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor will be the primary point of contact and direct all maintenance personnel, resolve any or all equipment issues, place all necessary equipment orders and complete all required documentation.
Essential Functions
- Maintain and promote safety in all aspects of the facility including Lockout Tag out, Confined Space Entry, and Hot Work permits while ensuring that all production equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Supervise and direct all KTP maintenance personnel and any on-site maintenance contractors in the performance of their duties.
- Effectively lead and ensure proper utilization of the Maintenance Escalation Process.
- Utilize preventative maintenance schedule to maintain equipment and plant facility.
- Maximize capability of equipment to keep them running at all times.
- Assist Maintenance Techs with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment problems.
- Accurate management and reporting of timekeeping and other required documentation.
- Effectively communicate with subordinates, peers, and the senior leadership team as well as with various other departments and plants.
- Promote teamwork by demonstrating a spirit of collaboration and cooperation on projects with other plants and departments striving to meet project objectives.
- Maintain and promote strong work ethics and uphold all KTP policies and procedures.
- Motivate team through encouragement and acting as a positive role model for all plant team members.
- Mentor, train, coach and develop staff so that they can be ready to take on more responsibility as KTP continues to grow.
Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- An Associate’s degree in supervision or operations management or comparable experience is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, or similar field is preferred.
- Prior experience (2-4 years) supervising production employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong project management skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, along with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills along with ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining composure and respect for everyone.
- Requires strong technical ability, able to take basic electrical/mechanical principles and apply to hands on situations.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information.
- Demonstrated excellence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), experience with Google suite, Microsoft Outlook, and CMMS.
