Position Summary
Capital Impact Partners seeks a passionate and knowledgeable Senior Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Specialist to drive strategic initiatives and programs that foster an inclusive workplace culture across our organization. The Senior DEI Specialist will work collaboratively with various teams to create, implement, and evaluate DEI strategies that support our mission to build equitable communities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage DEI strategies and initiatives that advance our organizational commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Facilitate training workshops and educational programs to promote awareness and understanding of DEI principles and practices across all levels of the organization.
- Conduct assessments and analyze organizational practices to identify areas for improvement, and develop actionable plans to enhance DEI efforts.
- Act as a liaison with the DEI Council to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to integrate DEI approaches into policies, practices, and organizational culture.
- Provide expert guidance and insights on best practices and emerging trends to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Monitor, measure, and report on DEI metrics to track progress, identify gaps, and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead DEI-related projects, ensuring effective prioritization, coordination, and follow-through.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in sociology, human resources, organizational development, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience in leading or supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion programs within a corporate, nonprofit, or public sector setting.
- Strong understanding of DEI concepts, systemic challenges, and effective strategies for driving organizational change.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Proven experience in designing, delivering, and facilitating workshops and training sessions on DEI topics.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and interpret data to develop actionable DEI strategies and measure organizational progress.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data analysis tools.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage projects from inception to completion.
Benefits
The salary range for this position is $80,500-$107,500 and is eligible for an annual incentive.
This role is eligible to work remotely.
