As a rapidly growing professional consulting firm serving the United States government, we are thrilled to announce a pivotal new role within our organization. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our team! As we expand our operations and enhance our capabilities, the need for an experienced leader to establish and helm our security function has never been more critical. This role represents a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to shape the security landscape of our company, ensuring the highest standards of protection and compliance across our diverse portfolio of government projects.
As a Senior Facility Security Officer (FSO), you will be at the forefront of our company’s security operations, tasked with a broad range of critical duties designed to protect our assets, information, and personnel. A unique experience to bring the security program in-house, the FSO will conduct an initial audit and propose actions and an implementation plan to establish a compliant and effective department.
This role requires occasional on-site presence in the Tysons, VA office, candidates must be able to work on-site as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Relationship Building: establish and foster relationships with key security personnel at DCSA and client sites to enable an efficient and compliant program
- Security Operations Management: Oversee daily security operations, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of classified and sensitive information
- Compliance and Coordination: Ensure strict compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and coordinate security measures with key agencies such as the DoD, VA, FAA, and IC
- Security Clearance Oversight: Manage the security clearance processes for employees and contractors, including regular reviews and updates
- Incident Response: Act swiftly to security incidents, overseeing investigations and resolutions.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct monthly security training sessions and periodic drills to maintain high levels of security awareness among employees
- Audit and Risk Assessment: Perform regular security audits and risk assessments, reporting on findings and implementing recommendations for improvement
- Physical Security Management: Ensure alignment of physical security measures with overarching security requirements
- Policy Development: Develop, review, and update security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current regulations and company needs
- Technology and Budget Management: Oversee the implementation of security technologies and manage the security budget to support training, equipment, and security measures
Requirements:
- Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial security administration
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with DISS, e-QIP/eAPP, NISS, and NBIS
- Proven track record in security management within the contractor community
- Familiarity with NISPOM, ICDs, and experience with personnel, physical security, document, and visitor control.
- Completion of FSO Training for Possessing Facilities in CDSE is mandatory
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels within the organization and external entities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Required (Must Have) Skills:
- Deep Understanding of Security Regulations: Knowledge of NISPOM, DoD, VA regulations, and proficiency in handling FCI and CUI
- Strategic Security Framework Evaluation: Ability to critically evaluate and enhance security frameworks
- Effective Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for articulating complex security strategies to diverse stakeholders
- Leadership Excellence: Proven leadership abilities to motivate teams and foster a culture of security awareness and excellence
- Innovative Problem-Solving: Expertise in navigating complex security challenges with strategic, impactful solutions
- Technological Proficiency: Mastery of the latest security technologies and systems to bolster security measures
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing security landscapes, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to overseeing security protocols, compliance, and incident investigations
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and organizational skills for prioritizing tasks and managing security operations efficiently
- Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills to work across departments and with external partners for a comprehensive security approach
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in security operations for the DoD, VA, FAA, and IC
- Completion of the SCI Contractors Special Security Officer (CSSO) Course
- Additional CDSE courses completed
CATHEXIS offers competitive compensation packages to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide a compensation package that reflects the value you bring to our team, is competitive with market rates, and promotes your financial security and personal well-being. The annual salary range for this role is $115,000 - $150,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline. CATHEXIS considers various factors in its final offer, including location, qualifications, experience, and skills.
