This position supports the United States Marine Corps’ Executive Office Land Systems (PEO LS). This position is focused on Manpower, Personnel, and Training (MPT) processes. An acquisition Logistics Analyst I conducts comprehensive manpower, personnel, and training analysis for new or refreshed military systems. As part of a collaborative team, the Logistics Analyst plays a key role in facilitating job task working groups to validate and prioritize job task lists in the logistics arena. As a hybrid position, you will be expected to be in the office per the government’s requirements, but normally 2-3 days a week. This job will require some travel (about once a quarter).
The ideal candidate shall perform the following task:
- Conduct MPT analysis to support the integration of manpower, personnel, and training considerations into military acquisition programs.
- Facilitate job task working groups to validate and prioritize job tasks related to new or existing military systems.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend effective training delivery methods and media.
- Develop essential MPT documents to include: MPT analysis reports, MPT plans, manpower estimate reports, MPT analysis determination tools, and presentations.
- Be familiar with Stock List-3 (SL3), Technical Instructions (TI), Modification Instructions (MI), Supply Instructions (SI), and Technical Manuals (TM).
- Be familiar with Marine Corps data bases: Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS) and Global Combat Support System- Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).
Requirements
- An Active DoD Secret clearance is Required.
- Must be a US citizen.
- BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience in acquisition management as a government contractor or related military experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience conducting MPT analysis or related functions.
- An understanding of acquisition management, MPT analysis processes, and relevant DoD polices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Will be required to follow all Federal COVID-19 protocols as they pertain to contractors.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting may be required.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
