Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager with a specialization in inventory management to lead and oversee material tracking and utilization for a large-scale project. This role emphasizes project planning, resource allocation, and ensuring seamless material availability to support station and pod builds. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, coupled with expertise in inventory control and a proactive approach to addressing challenges in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of inventory management efforts across all project phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory aligns with project schedules and milestones.
- Develop and oversee processes for inventory tracking, storage, and utilization to maintain accuracy and readiness.
- Manage the receipt, verification, and allocation of materials to meet build requirements.
- Conduct inventory forecasting and audits to prevent shortages and mitigate overstock.
- Proactively identify and resolve material-related risks to avoid project delays.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory-related updates, providing regular reports to the Lead PM and stakeholders.
- Optimize workflows for inventory flow and material handling to ensure efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors to align material availability with production needs and address any bottlenecks.
- Monitor the performance of inventory systems and processes, recommending improvements where needed.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in project management with a focus on inventory, supply chain, or material management.
- Demonstrated success in leading projects with complex inventory requirements and tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP tools.
- Proven ability to coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders in dynamic environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training is a plus.
