POSITION SUMMARY

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and selling our bus solutions to clients within your designated region. Your expertise in sales strategy and customer relationships will be critical in achieving sales goals and expanding our market presence.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans that drive revenue and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to facilitate business growth.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and tailor sales initiatives accordingly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met.
  • Prepare and deliver effective presentations on product offerings to prospective clients.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Represent New Flyer / MCI at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events - particularly for the MCI Inmate Security Transportation Vehicle (ISTV) coach.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the Transit industry.
  • Working knowledge of heavy duty transit bus architecture and components.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards, regulations, funding sources and grant application processes.
  • Sales experience, preferably in the transportation or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) and sales force automation tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Problem analysis and resolution at both the strategic and functional level.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
