Acentra is seeking a Communication Specialist to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

As the Communications Specialist (Remote), you will research, write, and distribute internal and external communication that engages employees, supports an inclusive company culture, accelerates business growth, and promotes Acentra Health’s reputation as a market leader. This position reports to the Vice President of Corporate Communications and provides support to Acentra Health’s Marketing as necessary. *Position will be remote.  Candidates based in the Washington DC area (VA, MD or DC) preferred.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, write, edit, and distribute corporate communication through multiple channels including but not limited to email, newsletters, all-hands meetings, audio, video, graphics, speechwriting, and the company intranet.
  • ·Develop and evaluate communications to support company initiatives and objectives, including culture-driven campaigns that connect our multi-national workforce to the company’s mission, vision, and values; communications that enhance employees’ understanding of our products and solutions; and communications outreach that supports our policies and initiatives.
  • ·Collaborate with counterparts in Acentra Health’s India offices to craft communications that resonate in tone across time zones, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds.
  • ·Maintain the internal editorial content calendar.
  • ·Administer Acentra Health’s intranet tool, including posting written and graphical content, monitoring engagement; and updating custom pages.
  • ·Write press releases and social media posts, as requested.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
  • 5 years’ minimum experience in a communication related role, preferably from an IT or healthcare-related industry.
  • Creative thinker with an ability to develop engaging communications campaigns that connect employees in a hybrid, global environment and amplify/reinforce the message across internal and external channels.
  • Impeccable oral and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter with strong personal initiative to own and solve challenges and test ideas while also working collaboratively within your own team and across teams. Basically, you get the stuff done.
  • Submission of portfolio of work demonstrating corporate communication, storytelling, campaign creation, and/or audiovisual capabilities in internal or external communications.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience with internal website and email software tools a plus.
  • Experience with video editing and graphic design a plus.

Compensation 

The pay range for this position is $78,000.00-80,000.00 annually

“Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.”
