About the Job
We are looking to hire an Electrical Superintendent with at least 8 years of experience who wants to continue to learn the trade. This position is Full-time and based in the Sarasota, FL area.

Position Summary
The Superintendent will actively manage materials, labor, and equipment associated with all projects that are assigned. Assume a leadership role, provide team guidance and mentorship, and support activities involved in executing the work associated with the assigned projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop superior relationships with clients and suppliers to position the company as the electrical contractor of choice.
- Review the scope of work associated with the assigned project and determine the adequate manpower to complete the project.
- Prepare Construction quantity takeoff material lists to be issued for procurement of each project that is assigned.
- Review design options and recommend ideal construction solutions based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials as needed.
- Ability to handle project-related issues and share information with team members, in an ongoing effort to facilitate the completion of a successful project.
- Effectively manage and assist field personnel in the execution of a successful project.
- Review electrical job specifics to identify potential risks during the project duration.
- Walk projects regularly to perform quality control and educate the electrical technicians on any deficiencies.
- Assist in scheduling manpower for the projects directly responsible for.
- Assist in the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment for the projects assigned.
- Will Complete Job Inspections by QA/Qc Checklist as Required.
- Other additional initiatives assigned by the General Manager.
- At least 10 Plus years’ progressive experience within a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience within a leadership role in this regard.
- Exemplary oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and to lift at least 50 pounds in weight.
To successfully perform and execute the requirements of this role, the individual must hold or exhibit the following qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- At least 8 years of progressive experience within a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience within a leadership role in this regard.
- Exemplary oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and to lift at least 50 pounds in weight.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
An individual in this role is responsible for ensuring that work is performed within the established policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization and applicable legislation. The individual ensures that all safety documentation is displayed as required and available at site locations and fulfills the Health and safety requirements for Managers and Supervisors as detailed in the organization’s Health and safety program.
Language Skills
An individual in this role must be able to create written reports and deliver coaching, training, and other interactions verbally to clients and staff. Frequent face-to-face interaction with clients, and general contractors.
