Responsibilities
- Operate cranes safely and efficiently to lift and move materials and equipment.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure the equipment and site are safe for operation.
- Communicate effectively with other crew members to coordinate lifts and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on cranes as needed to keep them in optimal working condition.
- Adhere to all safety policies, regulations, and industry standards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor load indicators and ensure weight limits are not exceeded during operations.
- Document operational logs and report any issues or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
Requirements
- Valid crane operator certification as per industry standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating cranes in construction or industrial settings.
- Strong understanding of crane safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with crew members and supervisors.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, if required.
