We have a current opening for a A/P Clerk in our Addison, Texas office.
The A/P Clerk plays a crucial role on the Royal team by maintaining accurate and organized data records within an organization.
Essential Functions:
- Data Entry: Accurately entering data into computer systems or databases from various sources, such as paper documents, spreadsheets, or digital records.
- Data Verification: Checking data for accuracy and completeness and making necessary corrections.
- Two & Three-way Matching when entering invoices
- Record Maintenance: Managing and updating databases or records regularly to ensure they are current and reliable.
- Data Quality Assurance: Reviewing and validating data to ensure it meets quality standards and guidelines.
- Data Retrieval: Retrieving information from databases or files as requested by team members or superiors.
- File Management: Organizing and maintaining electronic or paper files for efficient data retrieval.
- Confidentiality: Handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining data security protocols.
- Efficiency: Ensuring tasks are completed within specified timeframes and deadlines.
- Communication: Collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to address data-related queries or issues.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving data entry discrepancies or errors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data entry software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, and the ability to learn new software as needed.
- Attention to Detail: A strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness to minimize errors.
- Time Management: Prioritizing tasks effectively to manage workloads efficiently.
- Adaptability: Being open to changes in data entry procedures or processes as required by the organization.
- Statement Reconciliations: Acumen and Logic: Practices good sense with high aptitude in logic, confident judgement, and the power of reasoning necessary to cross-compare multiple information sources.
- Overall, an accounts payable clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate and organized data records within an organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is a plus.
- 1-2 years proven experience with accounting/accounts payable.
- Experience in construction industry/accounting a plus.
- Proficiency in data entry software and tools, including Microsoft Excel and database systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Salary Range:
- $20.00/hour - $22.00/hour
- This is a non-exempt/hourly position
