Full Job Description
Are you looking for a meaningful caregiving job? If so, UCP Oregon might have the perfect position for you!
UCP Oregon is an exciting and empowering place to work. We help adults who experience developmental disabilities to live the life of their dreams—whether that’s living independently, working in a great job, or pursuing their interests and hobbies.
We’re currently seeking a caregiver “Personal Assistant” to work with a kind, engaging woman who values her independence. She lives with her husband in her own one-story house in SE Portland.
She is new to supported living and is excited to build a new routine with personal assistants. She and her husband have been out of their house for several months and are eager to be home, where they previously cared for themselves. You’ll work together on household chores and she will need assistance with using the bathroom, bathing, dressing, and light meal prep.
You’ll be part of the team to figure out just what daily life looks like and how she wants to spend time with personal assistants. She enjoys music and wants to get out into the community with her new power wheelchair.
Note: You’ll be able to go off-campus for lunch and breaks because she can be alone for short periods of time.
Schedule: You’ll work 3 shifts totaling 42 hours per week:
Monday 6pm to Tuesday 8am, Tuesday 6p to Wednesday 8am, and Wednesday 6pm to Thursday 8am.
*You’ll also work your regular hours on Agency holidays.
