We are seeking a qualified Childcare Floater/Support Teacher to add to our growing team at a beautiful state-of-the-art childcare and preschool center in Strongsville, Ohio.
In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a caring and educational atmosphere for children. Your responsibilities will include fostering strong relationships with families and working collaboratively with a team of committed professionals to facilitate the growth and development of our young learners.

Responsibilities
- Provide support for the Lead and Assistant Teachers.
- Assist with maintaining schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest and playtime.
- Conducting daily duties such as serving meals, toileting/changing pull ups, recording daily reports/attendance, covers breaks, fill in during staff absence, engage in play and other daily activities.
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment for all children.
- Attend and participate in Center-provided meetings and trainings to comply with state regulations for child care professionals.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday from 9:00a - 6:00p
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- An Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus.
- At least 1 year of child care experience in a licensed ODJFS child care program
- Ability to pass a BCI/FBI background check and maintain current physical health standards.
- Comfortable working with children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years.
- Reliable and dependable with strong work habits; expected to be in place and ready for work at scheduled times, with minimal tardiness or absenteeism.
- Reliable and compassionate, capable of fostering a warm, nurturing environment for children and families.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Displays a friendly and positive demeanor, with a creative and energetic approach to work.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
- Demonstrated dependability, punctuality, and consistent attendance record.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, stand, and sit on child-sized furniture or on the floor for extended periods.
- Ability to repetitively lift and move children, with a weight capacity of up to 50lbs.
- Comfort working in a moderate to noisy environment.
- Preparedness to assist children in emergency situations.
- Physical ability to stay within arm's reach of children, ensuring proximity and safety.
- Participation in safety drills, adhering to guidelines including relocating children, which may involve moving cribs with multiple children to designated safe areas.
- Endurance to withstand varying outdoor conditions and temperatures for prolonged durations throughout all seasons.
