We are seeking an experienced Director of Digital Marketing to lead the marketing organization including our customer journey strategy as well as the creation and execution of integrated campaigns to create long-term relationships with our customers. In this role, you will oversee a team of marketing professionals while providing overall strategic vision, project guidance, career performance, and mentoring. Additionally, you will cross-collaborate with internal teams, executive leadership, and outside vendors to deliver personalized, relevant experiences that support our business development targets. We need someone who can immerse themselves in our business to develop a deep understanding of customer needs then deliver targeted marketing solutions to achieve business goals while bringing the customer voice to the forefront.
This role requires a mix of traditional and digital marketing experience, along with a strong understanding of how to drive sales through our DTC owned channels. Exceptional communication skills, a whatever it takes attitude, and a genuine passion for the digital ecosystem, are necessary to be successful.
Responsibilities:
At Foundations, there is limitless opportunity and plenty of room to grow. The following describes some of the core activities you will perform:
- Manage our owned ecommerce platforms.
- Own the customer lifecycle journey and associated metrics to drive engagement and action.
- Define annual and quarterly goals for the team. Share clear marketing performance updates and insights across the organization.
- Responsible for the creation and execution of integrated campaigns delivering on revenue and margin goals through continuous testing initiatives.
- Manage the marketing automation/communications, the CRM database, customer journey implementation, and deployment of data-driven marketing activities via email and other channels.
- Lead all facets of marketing-related activities including overseeing the complete digital ecosystem (social media, websites, email, SMS, SEO, SEM, etc.), traditional offline marketing activities (direct mail, catalogs, sell sheets, etc.), and trade shows.
- Partner with product teams to drive feature and product roadmap innovation, define priorities aligned to customer insights and business cases, improve customer adoption of products/features, and meet overall portfolio growth goals.
- Collaborate closely with the customer service and product teams to streamline customer journeys while driving seamless user experiences.
- Implement testing and optimization roadmap aimed at maximizing customer tenure.
- Lead strategic projects involving multiple, cross functional teams.
- Manage marketing campaigns from ideation through to execution and implementation.
- Develop and manage all marketing-related budgets.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Ecommerce, Communications, or other relevant degree.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Marketing and/or Ecommerce
- Proven success developing and executing digital marketing, traditional marketing, and ecommerce campaigns.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to interface within all levels of an organization in a confident and personable manner, as well as professionally represent the company at outside events.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to work at both the big picture and hands on levels
- Must have prior experience leading, motivating and mentoring a team.
- Agile, adaptive, and able to handle ambiguity with shifting priorities.
- Highly proficient in setting strategy for and leveraging digital marketing channels to drive revenue.
- Comfortable using a variety of digital marketing, ecommerce, and analytical tools.
- Prior experience working with large ecommerce partners like Amazon.
- Strong understanding of sales funnel development and attribution modeling.
