Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manager for our Data Processing Team. This role will oversee all aspects of data preparation and processing for our variable data printing services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data processing, data conversion, and data manipulation for direct marketing, as well as leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence. This position is an on-site role in Columbus, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the preparation, processing, quality control, and management of client data for variable data-driven direct mail campaigns.
• Supervise and mentor a team of data processors, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Create, manage, and continually adjust all team, job, and processing schedules.
• Develop and maintain efficient workflows to streamline data handling, reduce errors, and increase throughput.
• Ensure all data processes adhere to industry standards, client requirements, and privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
• Work closely with sales, customer service, and production teams to ensure data and format accuracy for various output devices.
• Utilize software such as BCC Mail Manager, Quadient Inspire, or similar tools for data processing, variable data formatting, and postal optimization.
• Troubleshoot issues in data preparation, file formatting, and variable data design.
• Act as the team's voice and a positive force for change to improve workflows, onboard new clients, delight existing clients, and work cross-departmentally with our teams.
• Track and report key metrics, such as processing times, error rates, and team productivity.
• Writing documentation for SOPs and QC processes and ensuring compliance.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, quality control, management/supervisory, and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy
• Attention to detail and a passion for building good processes is a must!
• Proven track record of managing and developing a team.
• Minimum of 5 years in data management, data processing, manager/supervisor, or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have but not required
• Experience with variable data printing software (e.g., XMPie, GMC Inspire, FusionPro).
• Knowledge of postal regulations and address standardization.
