Assistant Supervisor - Day Shift - Toledo, Ohio

Express Employment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Supervisor for the Day Shift in Toledo, Ohio. In this role, you will assist in supervising the daily operations of the manufacturing team for a Tier 1 Supplier, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Supervisor in managing daily operations of the manufacturing floor
• Coordinate and communicate work assignments to production team members
• Monitor production activities and make necessary adjustments to meet quality and efficiency standards
• Conduct training and orientation for new employees, ensuring they understand safety and operational procedures
• Maintain accurate production records and report on performance metrics to management
• Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork among staff
• Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with the Supervisor to implement changes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or supervisory role is highly desirable
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and production software
