Quality Control Inspector

The Position: Quality Control Inspector

As a Quality Control Inspector at CandleScience, you will be tasked with ensuring all inbound, manufactured, and returned products meet the high-quality standards that our customers expect from one of the nation's leading suppliers.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials upon arrival or during/after manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects.

Responsibilities:

• Inspects and approves materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

• Inspects post-production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.

• Inspects customer returns for damage and usage and re-work or repackages as necessary

• Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.

• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and records data in the appropriate system.

• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs.

• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.

Requirements:

• High school diploma

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication skills with upper management, suppliers and co-workers

• Internal auditing/inspection experience

• Analytic Skills and thinking

• Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and similar software

• Able to lift up to 55 lbs repetitively and move 100+ lbs with equipment

The Salary Range is $40,000-$50,000 based upon experience.
