We are looking for a Facility I.T. Support Specialist who is dedicated to both internal and external customers alike. The Facility I.T. Support Specialist is a generalist position devoted to all aspects of hardware, equipment, computer set-up, installation, troubleshooting, service, Helpdesk, support, upgrades, and maintenance. The position includes handling computers connected to the network; printing, both locally and on the network; and auxiliary devices such as video cameras, smartphones other wireless devices.
Proactively resolves helpdesk tickets and mitigates future issues
- Complete installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software
- Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel
- Verify functionality of hardware and software components
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone
- Assist employees with computer problems and answer their questions
- Conduct daily network backup operations
- End User Training
- Maintain accurate record of assets and inventory
- Finds proactive solutions to ensure user up time is >97%
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Technical School degree in related field (2 years) or equivalent experience
- A+ certification
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing system
- Working knowledge of hardware to include PC’s, laptops, printers
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 8.1 & 10
- Basic working knowledge of Windows Server 2008 and 2012
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Some overtime required
Preferred:
- Net+ certification
- Knowledge of Ethernet, IP Protocol, and cabling
- Basic knowledge of switches and routers
- Basic working knowledge of MS RDP and Wyse Thin Clients
- Knowledge of wireless access points and security
