CDL Driver - OTR

Prestage Farms is looking for an Experienced CDL Driver that will be responsible for safely and efficiently transport pigs from our North Carolina farms to our Iowa farms. Driver will be on the following schedule:

• Leaves Monday morning from NC and returns Wednesday morning.
• Leaves Thursday morning from NC & returns Saturday morning.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Driving to and from North Carolina to Iowa with co-driver
• Observing all government and company regulations at all times
• Responsible for any and all needed maintenance on tractor or trailer to be taken care of by the garage or maintenance personnel
• Ensuring that the tractor and trailer is clean
• Accurately performing a pre-trip inspection that includes oil, tires, fuel, etc.
• Before loading ensure that the trailer is clean
• Monitoring the conditions of the pigs on the trip and take appropriate action
• Accurately completing delivery forms and return to properly charge out to appropriate departments/farms

Requirements

• Certificate from a college or technical school and one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience (truck driving school preferred)
• Must have a valid Class A-CDL and have a satisfactory MVR (motor vehicle record)
