Position:

As a Computer / Network Engineer you will be a key component in creating and maintaining happy clients. You will expertly provide comprehensive computer and network support services to our base of extremely loyal clients. Our clients are primarily small to mid-sized businesses, municipalities and healthcare providers.

Duties:

This position will include the following duties at a minimum:

  • Provide superb technical system and user support to our clients.
  • Establish, maintain, and increase client satisfaction through professional, courteous, and caring service.
  • Assess client needs then design, propose and implement solutions including writing recommendations, specifying equipment, and assisting with or directly writing proposals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client network and computer system issues.
  • Manage client projects including installations, upgrades and maintenance.
  • Assist other network engineers with projects as a direct participant and to lend your unique areas of expertise when required.
  • Participate in the pre-sales process, helping to explain to current clients and prospective clients the benefits of the specific technologies being proposed.
  • Maintain your knowledge and expertise by learning new and evolving technologies and by achieving appropriate industry and professional certifications.
  • Contribute to our passion and direction by helping to improve technical practices, as well as choosing key technologies and addressing issues.

Experience:

You should have at least 3 years of experience working in a successful IT service company, corporate helpdesk, or similar environment.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills:

  • A “Customer First” philosophy and mindset. If you don’t like serving people and cheerfully solving their problems, this is probably not the job for you.
  • The ability to be punctual. Someone who believes that early is on time and on time is late.
  • The unusual ability to be obsessively detail oriented.
  • You should be a master of Windows based technology. This includes the ability to intuitively troubleshoot a wide array of hardware and software within a Windows environment. In-depth experience with Windows Desktops, Windows Server and Server Apps is required.
  • The ability to cheerfully take ownership of any problem.
  • The ability to design and execute a plan.
  • The desire to have a professional and polished image.
  • The ability to write and speak clearly and to be able to explain complex topics simply.
  • The discipline to maintain strong documentation.

You must:

  • NOT be a job hopper. We are looking to invest in you and have a long term successful relationship for BOTH of us.
  • Have a good reliable automobile.

Additional information:

  • Compensation is dependent upon experience and is higher than market standards.
  • Certifications are nice but experience reigns supreme.
