Executive Vice President, Health and Wellness, Paid Media
Hybrid work structure, Ideally New York Based but open to other major metro areas
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Vice President (SVP), Paid Media, also known as Media Group Director, to join our best-in-class Digital Health team within Burson's reputable national Healthcare practice.
You will be responsible for leading client paid media programs toward stated client and company objectives as well as for the growth, management, retention, and satisfaction of multiple accounts. You will also:
- Partner with clients to address measured media landscape.
- Work with client stakeholders across multiple digital disciplines to propose, defend and grow media spend across all healthcare performance-based marketing channels.
- Collaborate with the larger digital health team and healthcare practice stakeholders
- Participate in the larger healthcare new business process and help to lead both paid-specific, organic growth and new business
- Partner with other senior leads on the paid media, digital and healthcare practice teams on operational, staffing, resourcing and team training activities
- Mentor junior members both within digital health team and larger healthcare practice

The Work:
- Be the primary strategic partner for assigned Healthcare clients related to paid media marketing across omnichannel activities (social, programmatic, endemic, search, HER, POC, HCP, patient, influencer, etc.)
- Develop a deep understanding of the clients’ brands and disease states and determine how paid media support and expansion can provide a benefit to their audiences
- Develop paid digital media strategy across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, YouTube, Sermo, Doximity, Phreesia and programmatic/endemic partners among others
- Develop relationships with important partners at all relevant paid media platforms
- Work with the integrated account team to manage client relationship as related to paid strategy, team and performance
- Establish new projects, grow client revenue
- Help to establish and support a growth/expansion vision for the paid media team
- Collaborate with other specialists and account team members to ensure consistency across campaigns
- Lead and contribute to new business development
- Partner with cross-WPP teams for information sharing and thought leadership
- Work with the digital health team to develop trainings for teams
Experience that contributes to Success:
- 12-15+ years of experience in paid social, media, or marketing agency environments
- Healthcare/pharmaceutical knowledge and industry background and interest a must; pharmaceutical experience preferred
- Paid media expertise in an agency setting, both paid media and PR/communications/marketing agency (latter preferred, not required)
- Advanced experience in planning across all channels in order to act as a technical expert for team members
- Deep knowledge of paid media platforms across HCP and consumer audiences
- Knowledge of statistical methods and testing methodology (preferred)
- Multichannel experience with search, social, display, programmatic, endemic, HER, POC and CTV (preferred)
- High competency level in deck writing/spreadsheet proficiency and MS Office with specific experience and strengths in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience growing teams/businesses

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $155,000 to $390,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
