- Real Estate Transactions: Representing clients in complex real estate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and development projects.
- Real Estate Finance: Advising on real estate financing, including debt and equity financing, loan workouts, and restructurings.
- Real Estate Litigation: Handling disputes related to real estate, including property disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, and construction litigation.
- Real Estate Development: Assisting developers in all aspects of real estate development, from land acquisition to project completion.
- Real Estate Leasing: Representing landlords and tenants in commercial and residential leasing transactions.
The Role:
As a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting complex real estate transactions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting in-depth title and survey reviews
- Preparing and coordinating legal documents for purchases, sales, financings, and leases
- Assisting with due diligence processes, including zoning and municipal documentation
- Drafting correspondence and transactional documents
- Managing deadlines and transaction schedules to ensure timely closings
- Collaborating with clients, lenders, and other parties involved in transactions
- Maintaining organized files and transaction records
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work on-site five days a week
