About Us: Meyer & Spencer, PC is a New York Law Firm that has been providing outstanding, timely, and value-based legal services to our clients since 1993. We are a boutique law firm focusing on a few practice areas. Our real estate practice is divided into three areas: Commercial/Residential Real Estate Transactions, and Institutional Lending. Our Trusts & Estates practice covers the whole spectrum of services from simple Wills and Revocable Living Trusts to complex Trusts, including Life Insurance Trusts. Our Trusts & Estates practice also includes Elder Law, Medicaid Planning and Medicaid Applications, and Guardianship matters. Our practice includes the inevitable Probate and Administration proceedings. We also provide legal counsel to business clients from incorporation to ongoing business dealings to dissolution. Our partners and long-time support staff continue our long-standing practice of giving each client personal attention.
About You:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our office operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day activities. You have excellent organizational and administrative skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
You are a motivated individual with strong administrative skills, looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can work independently with minimal supervision, and maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information. You are empathetic, kind, caring and understanding when working with clients who are experiencing loss in their lives. Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office Suite make you an ideal fit for our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the office staff, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
- Perform general clerical duties, such as data entry, filing, and photocopying
- Assist with proofreading and editing documents for accuracy and clarity
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
- Handle incoming calls and greet visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Assist with basic office management tasks, such as maintaining office cleanliness and organizing files
- Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for staff members when required
- Assist with special projects or events as assigned
Requirements
- Proven 2-5 years’ experience in an administrative role
- Familiarity with law office receptionist duties is a plus
- Compassionate, empathetic and caring demeanor
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office Suite; QuickBooks for basic bookkeeping tasks
- Previous experience working in a law office is highly desirable

This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation based on experience starting at $51,500. We also offer benefits such as 401k, generous holiday schedule, and paid time off.
