Shift Lead-Trop and Jones

The Shift Lead at Las Vegas Petroleum plays a crucial role in managing daily operations during their shift. This position involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining inventory and safety standards. The Shift Lead will support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving operational efficiency and creating a positive work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle various challenges as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store Operations: Supervise daily activities during shifts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
2. Customer Engagement: Provide outstanding customer service and resolve any issues that arise.
3. Team Leadership: Mentor and support staff, conducting training as necessary.
4. Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
5. Cash Handling: Manage cash register operations and ensure accurate financial reporting at shift's end.
6. Safety and Security: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and address any security concerns.
7. Communication: Communicate effectively with management and team members about operational needs and customer feedback.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in management is a plus.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in retail or customer service roles; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle customer complaints and solve problems effectively.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking and organizing products.
