Full Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Program Supervisor for our GRIT Program. This position provides an opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of individuals navigating addiction and co-occurring mental health challenges. The Program Supervisor will guide staff and residents in creating a structured and supportive environment, empowering participants to achieve recovery and long-term community reintegration. The role involves program oversight, staff training, compliance management, and fostering an environment of growth and resilience for participants and team members alike.
Schedule:
- Flexible hours, Mon-Fri
- Requires 2 late days (up to 7pm)
Supervisory Duties:
- Lead, train, and support a multidisciplinary team, ensuring adherence to agency, state, and federal guidelines.
- Facilitate individual and group supervision to promote professional development and enhance staff autonomy.
- Manage performance evaluations and corrective action plans, fostering staff accountability and growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings and maintain clear, effective communication across the program.
- Collaborate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling.
Administrative Functions:
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, including contact notes, Individual Action Plans, and medication logs.
- Collect and manage room and board fees while adhering to fiscal guidelines.
- Coordinate communication between service providers, medical professionals, and external partners.
- Oversee timesheets, program reports, and budget adherence.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide critical support when necessary.
Participant Support and Advocacy:
- Guide staff in delivering person-centered care, emphasizing self-advocacy and skill-building.
- Foster a trauma-informed, supportive environment through psycho-educational groups and structured programming.
- Support participants in managing daily living activities, medical coordination, and recovery-oriented goals.
- Collaborate with participants to develop and implement aftercare plans for successful community reintegration.
Teamwork and Development:
- Actively engage in division and supervision meetings to enhance collaboration and program effectiveness.
- Pursue ongoing professional development through training and skill-building opportunities.
- Cultivate a cooperative atmosphere, emphasizing the program’s mission and participant needs.
Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain a safe environment, addressing hazards and adhering to safety protocols.
- Respond effectively to medical and psychiatric emergencies to ensure participant and staff well-being.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team, managing priorities effectively.
- Strong oral, written, computer, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changing participant and program needs.
- Compassionate and patient interpersonal skills.
- Experience in trauma-informed care and residential program management preferred.
- Knowledge of addiction recovery principles, mental health care, and HUD regulations is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle during work hours.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum: Two years of experience in mental health, addiction services, or a related field, with progressively responsible roles.
- Preferred: College degree or equivalent experience in residential program settings and prior supervisory roles.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Frequent use of hands for administrative tasks and occasional physical activities such as climbing stairs or lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Visual acuity for detailed documentation and assessment tasks.
