Our Home is currently seeking an experienced EM Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. As an EM Maintenance Technician, you will assist with maintenance and repair efforts to ensure all plant equipment is operating in a safe and efficient manner, and keeping down-time to a minimum. The willingness and ability to work Monday through Friday from 3:10 PM - 12:00 AM is required in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment: motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying equipment, conveyors and material handling systems, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, Electronics scales, carton erectors, heat shrink and wrapping machines, etc.
- Mechanical components, piping changes and small fabrication projects.
- Direct and work with contractors to complete projects and maintenance tasks.
- Coordinates and completes installation and wiring of manufacturing equipment such as motors, gearboxes, pumps, fans, blowers and relay panels, etc.
- Troubleshoots and repairs various types of lighting.
- Has personal tools to conduct maintenance activities with and uses company tools when specialty items are required.
- Maintains a clean work area / workshop.
- Independently installs conduit, EMT, and sealtite to all equipment.
- Prepares, coordinates, and implements preventative maintenance as scheduled.
Requirements
- Requires knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical and electronic applications acquired through 2+ years of experience.
- Able to read and work from blueprints, drawings and electrical schematics.
- Requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
- Requires the ability to lift up to 45 lbs, could be more with assistance.
- Requires working at heights above ground level.
- Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment
