Ripple Effect is looking for a Senior Illustrator and Graphic Designer with 4 years of relevant, professional experience to support our client’s mission. This role will work closely with our Communications and Outreach Division to create visual concepts using computer software to convey ideas in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner.

Responsibilities
- Conceptualize illustrative and visual ideas (e.g., infographics, data visualizations, storyboards, metaphors, etc.) based on interviews, resource documents, and group discussion on a variety of topic areas.
- Develop alternative illustrations and iterate on existing ideas to provide multiple creative options for clients and A/B Testing purposes.
- Update illustrations and graphic designs based on direction and testing feedback.
- Develop and maintain visual identity standards and branding guidelines throughout creative process.
- Develop style sheets and creative briefs and present and provide rationale for art choices.
- Complete work within identified timelines while communicating project status to manager.
- Deliver final files in proper aspect ratios and specifications.
- Incorporate illustrations, visuals, and multimedia creatives into a variety of client-ready digital and print collateral for web and other digital platforms, presentation, and print (e.g., posters).
- Conduct graphics maintenance tasks (e.g., creating templates, vectorizing images).
- Work independently and collaborate with team members on project work when needed.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications. Marketing or Graphic Design
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience
Basic Requirements
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required.
- Demonstrated experience working in various illustration styles (e.g., realistic, cartoon, abstract).
- Ability to brainstorm creative ideas and convey a story or message through illustrations.
- Experience in sketching conceptual art from scratch including metaphors, journey maps, infographics, personas, storyboards, etc.
- Ability to manage a visual product from concept and illustration, into a client-ready, fully developed, vectorized, full-color visual.
- Experience with composition, color theory, and layout design principles.
- Responsiveness, attention to quality, and a strong eye for detail are a must.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on virtual teams as well as independently to accomplish multiple task and meet deadlines.
- Strong portfolio samples of various illustration styles.
- Must reside within the U.S. in a state Ripple Effect is administratively set up to support (all states except NY, CA, and PR).

Skills That Set You Apart
- Experience with 2D and/or 3D animation and other multimedia skills and software (e.g., Articulate)
- Experience with human centered design principles
- Familiarity with 508 accessibility
- Government consulting experience, especially in the healthcare sector
