Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sr. Freight Broker to join our logistics team onsite and play a critical role in growing our Doorstep Solutions division. This role involves a blend of inside and outside sales, requiring the ability to engage clients both remotely and in person. The ideal candidate will bring an active book of business, demonstrate strong industry relationships, and possess a proven ability to manage and expand freight brokerage operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to grow our freight brokerage division, focusing on Doorstep Solutions services.
- Conduct both inside and outside sales to engage with clients and build lasting relationships.
- Leverage an active book of business to immediately contribute to revenue growth.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and other logistics partners.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements to maximize profitability and ensure client satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends and adjust strategies to stay competitive and aligned with client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of brokerage operations with other logistics services.
- Represent Doorstep Solutions at industry events, fostering brand recognition and partnerships.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a freight broker, with a proven track record of success.
- Proven experience in both inside and outside sales within the logistics industry.
- Existing, active book of business with established relationships in the logistics industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems, with an ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and identify opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
