Full Job Description
C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere ag, material handling and powersports locations has an opening for a Parts & Service Manager at our material handling location in Waterloo, Iowa. This position oversees the operations of the parts and service department. The Parts & Service Manager will also work closely with the Branch Manager & Regional Managers to maximize profits, provide exceptional customer service, and engage employees to be the best in the business.
Essential Duties:
- Manages service and parts operations within the dealership to maximize profits for the dealership and optimizes Service and Parts Department processes to ensure external and internal customer satisfaction
- Actively sells and promotes aftermarket services and parts
- Strives for profitable growth of service labor sales, parts sales and exercises disciplined expense control to stay within budget developed
- Takes the lead in sharing best practices and implementing common processes throughout the aftermarket departments and promotes excellent customer service
- Recruits, hires, and retains key talent by maintaining employees and individual development plans
- Assisting customers and technicians in the diagnosis of machine problems
- Handles all customer interactions and personnel complaints in the service and parts departments
- Enforces all safety rules and regulations
- Handles any other work-related duties assigned by Branch Manager and/or Regional Managers
Requirements
- Three to five years management experience in the machinery industry
- Proven experience driving and improving customer relations and service
- Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
