What You Will Do
As Business Intelligence Developer, you will be a critical part of our Data & Analytics group at the IHTC. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and applications. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Power BI environment, as well as working with our team of analysts and decision makers in the organization to create insightful and user-friendly dashboards and applications.
The Opportunity
- Develop and maintain our Power BI environment, including data models, dashboards, reports, and Apps
- Collaborate with stakeholders both within and outside of the IT department, as well as our team of analysts, to develop intuitive and user-friendly dashboards and applications that provide actionable insights
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Construct and manage data relationships between various data sources to ensure efficient data modeling and structuring.
- Analyze and understand business requirements in context to reporting and analytics
- Demonstrate expertise in implementing and managing Power BI application security following best practices.
- Stay up to date on the latest Power BI features and functionality.
This position is designed to be a hybrid role, splitting time between the office and a work from home environment.
This position may require minimal travel to trainings or conference events.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Power BI required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL querying on any data platform required.
- Proficiency in the following required:
- Development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and Apps. Healthcare focus with this experience is a plus.
- Writing DAX queries.
- Use of Power Query for transformations and data shaping.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working with PostgreSQL data strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for data manipulation and automation tasks preferred.

- Has the ability to lead diverse stakeholders through the process of defining business questions and translating them into user-centered design solutions.
- Collaborates effectively within a small team while also demonstrating the ability to independently initiate and lead projects or work threads with confidence.
