Resource Innovations is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to join our growing team ideally in Chicago, San Fransisco, Boston, Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City or Pittsburgh; however, other locations will be considered. The Vice President, Marketing will lead a team of marketing and creative professionals to define and execute Resource Innovations’ strategy for corporate marketing and client program marketing. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the VP of Marketing will be a key member of the Growth & Strategy team and will also collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute client success initiatives. Additionally, as the VP of Marketing, you will develop and iterate upon a comprehensive marketing and growth strategy with detailed customer acquisition, retention, and go-to-market initiatives, and oversee the execution of that strategy to drive new and recurring revenue and overall growth for the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and scale the Marketing Team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and mentoring, to ensure the team's success in delivering key objectives.
  • Partners with other company leaders to foster company culture.
  • Holds responsibility for operating with the highest ethical standards.
  • Communicates clear linkages between company goals/strategy and individual/team contributions.
  • Collaborates with and challenges peers to improve strategic outcomes.
  • Works closely with executive leadership to drive business goals.
  • Contributes ongoing insights, competitive intelligence, and informed opinions to the Executive and G&S teams to drive business strategy.
  • Manages and builds on existing martech stack, managing vendor selection and implementation.   
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and representatives from RI’s Board of Directors to define and execute client success initiatives, including client satisfaction metrics and establishment of RI’s customer advisory board.
  • Establishes and provides strategic oversight over a matrixed team of program marketing professionals across the company to develop marketing and outreach strategies to support achievement of program goals.
  • Partners with Program Delivery leadership to understand client goals and identify marketing needs, budgets, and performance metrics to support successful implementation of our client’s energy efficiency and clean energy programs.
  • Determines team ability for crossover vertical Marketing roles while maintaining efficiency servicing client programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience including development and delivery of strategic plans and/or marketing plans
  • Experience leading marketing and creative teams and managing external agencies
  • Experience communicating and presenting to executives
  • Willingness and ability to travel to ~30% of time

Preferred:

  • Clean energy industry experience
  • Go-to-market and sales enablement marketing experience
  • High growth company experience

The compensation range for this exempt position is $175,000 - $230,000. The stated range is based on a good faith estimate of the compensation range for the duties, responsibilities and skills / experience required for the position. Starting pay will be dependent on experience, location and internal equity. This provided range may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, especially those with industry experience.
