Parx Home Care is looking for a talented Billing and Receivables Specialist to join our amazing team!
We are seeking a detail-oriented Home Health Billing Specialist for our home health and home care services. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely submission of claims, follow up on outstanding payments, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is crucial for optimizing revenue cycle management and supporting the overall financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Consistently follows Agency policies and procedures to set an example for employees, as well as maintains communication with employees to ensure the understanding of policies and procedures.
- Claims Submission: Prepare and submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies in accordance with payer guidelines.
- Payment Posting: Accurately post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on unpaid claims to ensure timely collections.
- Billing Compliance: Ensure all billing practices comply with federal and state regulations and industry standards.
- Patient Inquiries: Address patient inquiries related to billing, insurance coverage, and payment options in a professional manner.
- Documentation Review: Review clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness to support billing processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff and operational team to resolve billing discrepancies and improve processes.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Participation in mandatory in-services.
- Performs other necessary functions/duties as assigned by Senior leadership.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in home health billing.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing processes.
- Proficiency in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
