Area Manager is a safety sensitive position that manages a specific geographic area and oversee all employees at the branch to maintain the residential and commercial pools of clients for cleanliness, chemical levels and mechanical issues.
Job Duties
- Accomplishes departmental goals by accepting ownership of department objectives driven by overall organizational business needs
- Safely operate a company motor vehicle and maintain a clear and valid drivers license for the state in which reside to ride along with Service Managers and technicians as well as assist with service when needed
- Review management reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing program improvement
- Determine staff requirements, and make hiring decisions and promotions on potential Pool Service Technicians and Supervisors
- Resolves escalated customer service matters, as necessary, through diplomacy and professionalism both face to face and digitally
- Train Technicians on Pool Tech, Mobile Tech and other technology
- Plan and schedule team meetings to review procedures, successes, and areas to improve
- Manage the startup process which may include meeting with potential new customers to assess their pool and decide whether to put them on service. Quoting of new equipment might be part of this new customer assessment process.
- Meet with existing customers to resolve issues related to service or equipment problems

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Prior pool service experience not required but a plus
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license issued by a valid state agency
- Must not have a conviction of a felony or 1st class misdemeanor involving crimes against a person or child, crimes against property, theft or fraud, or drug crimes related to trafficking or manufacture
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English), a plus
