We are currently looking for a Sr. Quality Manager to join our team full-time to support our variety of customers. The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for planning and executing quality related systems for the Acrylics division. This position provides leadership of the Quality function with Technicians, QC, and others reporting to this person.

Requirements

Essential Job Duties

Duties may include some or all of the following: 

  • Develop and optimize systems in cooperation with other production and management personnel, minimizing defects, cost and customer complaints, improving quality capability, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems.
  • Develop and implement inspection criteria and procedures. Oversee the performance of inspections, conduct training, and make changes to correct issues.
  • Maintain Integrated Management System/Quality Information Database, control records and documentation, including work instructions, procedures, records and documentation. 
  • Establish internal and external quality performance metrics, evaluate performance, and make changes, when appropriate.  Develop, analyze and report on performance and trends.
  • Conduct management review meetings.
  • Conduct and oversee internal, external and third-party quality audits.  Ensure facilities are in compliance with quality standards and procedures.
  • Participate in Operational Excellence Program.
  • Coordinate investigation and corrective action in accordance with Corporate and Plant policies/guidelines.
  • Uses Lean/Six Sigma, FMEA, Kaizen and 6S tools.
  • Provides project management for analytical projects from within the organization as well as from external customer.
  • Prepares and presents technical documents to customers.

Duties may also include:

  • Maintain calibration equipment and make purchases as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  •  In depth understanding and ability to implement quality standards such as AS-9100, ISO-9000, FDA-GMP, and NAS412.
  • Working knowledge of core tools, 8D, 5-Why, and other RCCA tools.
  • Practical implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methods.
  • Working knowledge regarding successful application of manufacturing and quality processes and procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build and lead quality team to attain objectives and performance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels and types of internal and external individuals.  Strong technical writing skills and ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business and technical periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports, legal documents, and governmental regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook; knowledge of Access preferred.

Required Experience

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline, quality management, or related field
  • ASQ certification is desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience multiple plant quality leadership experience.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Minitab or similar required.
