A partner organization in Portola Valley, California, is seeking a Town Engineer to join its Public Works Department. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to the town's infrastructure while working in a collaborative, community-focused environment. The Town Engineer will oversee three direct reports, manage the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) with a focus on street resurfacing, and be responsible for an annual budget of $1 million. This position also offers a hybrid work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) with a focus on street resurfacing.
- Oversee an annual budget of $1 million.
- Lead and supervise three direct reports.
- Participate in both office and field work.
- Interface with contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Provide high-level customer service to engaged residents.
- Act as a responsive, diplomatic, and knowledgeable professional within the community.
- Collaborate with the Executive team and other staff members.
- Foster teamwork and clear communication across departments.
- Support the preservation of the town’s unique character while incorporating modern amenities.
Requirements
