Formerly Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital, SRBHH was opened in 2016 and is regarded as an integral part of the greater Santa Rosa and Northern California mental health system of care. Conveniently located in the North Bay, this hospital consists of 144 acute psychiatric inpatient beds.

Conveniently located in the North Bay, SRBHH serves adolescents and adults. We treat both mental health and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse conditions.
POSTITION TITLE: Staffing Coordinator
PAY RANGE: $30.00-$35.00 PER HOUR
REPORTS TO: Chief Nursing Officer
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all nursing staff. This position also provides high level administrative support to the DON and other nurse leaders. A critical function of this position is to facilitate information flow within the nursing department and to other functional areas within the organization. The Staffing Coordinator maintains knowledge of, participates in further training provided, and understands the potential risks regarding occupational health hazards (e.g. bloodborne pathogen exposures).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule, coordinate, and notify all nursing staff of their assigned schedule. Post and distribute nursing schedule.
- Maintain current records of key contact information for all members of the nursing staff.
- Monitor attendance records including absenteeism, tardiness, and call-offs.
- Facilitates approval of time sheets and staff requests for PTO.
- Train and supports House Charge nurses on administration of staffing requirements.
- Organizes orientation and training activities for nursing staff. This can be activities exclusive to nursing or in conjunction with training programs managed by the Human Resources and Education departments.
- Working with Nursing Leadership and Human Resources staff, facilitates completion of skill competencies for all nursing staff. This includes competency training and assessment at the hire of hire and renewal of competencies on a timely basis in compliance with regulations.
- Perform various administrative support duties relating to updating and organizing information maintained on nursing units.
- Participates in activities which enhance professional growth and development. Upholds the Organizations ethics and customer service standards.
- Prepares and sends correspondence on behalf of Nursing Leadership as required.
- Creates, maintains, and posts signage related to Nursing Department schedules, events, and policies.
- Performs related duties as requested.
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Verbal de-escalation and physical intervention program as approved by the CNO.)
- Expert level Microsoft Excel required.
- Minimum three years’ experience in administrative support roles.
- Experience in working in a role requiring independent thinking and using problem solving skills.
- Health care industry, particularly in patient psychiatric experience, preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Maintains confidentiality of patients at all times
- Sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
- Advanced proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.)
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects, work relatively independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as well as possessing the skills to lead, influence, and motivate others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently required to do the following:
- Use standard office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer. Use computer keyboard with manual and finger dexterity and wrist-finger speed sufficient to perform repetitive actions efficiently for extended periods of time.
- Communicate effectively in person or via telephone in a manner which can be understood by those with whom the person is speaking, including a diverse population.
