The Regional Service Manager is a Leadership position that works closely with the Regional Operations Manager to identify areas in the branches that can effect positive change and hold accountability to those individuals in charge to assure that change takes place. This is Management a position that monitors reports and works closely with various departments to help stream line any new and current processes. This person should have experience in one or more of the following areas; as a District Service Manager, a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Top Line Mechanic/Field Service Mechanic or Shop Foreman position. This person should also possess the knowledge of how each piece of equipment operates and what it is supposed to do in its operation.
Job Duties:
- Serve as the primary local contact for the DSM on fleet and shop maintenance, repair items, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers for mechanic recruitment, training, and operational decision-making.
- Assess and recommend training needs for mechanics, facilitating both manufacturer and in-house training sessions.
- Monitor equipment inspections, serviceability, workload issues, and field service outcomes through operational dashboards.
- Actively participate in the Apprenticeship Program management, tracking progress, and providing feedback.
- Escalate safety, quality, or operational concerns to the Regional Platform, ensuring collaborative problem-solving and strategic alignment.
- Uphold Sunstate's standards for Safety, Employee Experience, and Quality, ensuring consistent customer experiences across markets.
- Engage with vendors and suppliers on product quality and supply chain management to maintain operational continuity.
Requirements
Preferred Skills:
- Proven experience in shop and service management, preferably within the construction rental and delivery equipment industry.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in equipment repair (Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with Federal DOT laws, OSHA, and ANSI regulations regarding aerial equipment.
- Proficiency in using software tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and operational dashboards (e.g., Cognos, Tableau).
- A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
