Full Job Description
Our partner is seeking a Platform - Site Reliability Engineer II in Mountain View, CA. The role involves supporting the design, build, and maintenance of multi-cloud platforms, including cloud-hosted and serverless services. As part of the Platform Engineering department, the engineer will be responsible for improving reliability, automating processes, and supporting infrastructure for both internal and external services, all while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical initiatives to enhance the reliability of global infrastructure through proactive issue prevention, detection, and mitigation.
- Contribute to Site Reliability Engineering by developing auto-remediation solutions and automating operational tasks.
- Develop and maintain software, tooling, and automation to support scaling demands.
- Foster a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence and team development.
- Respond to major incidents, improve systems to prevent future issues, and participate in a weekly on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Experience operating production services with a focus on reliability.
- Strong background in software engineering, with a track record of collaborating to resolve technical issues.
- Experience with public cloud platforms and managed Kubernetes services is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in distributed or remote teams.
Bonus Points:
- Experience operating SaaS products in a public cloud using Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (e.g., Crossplane, Terraform).
- Experience managing Kubernetes-at-scale infrastructure across multiple cloud providers.
- Proficiency in writing non-trivial programs in Go.
- Familiarity with containerized services (e.g., Docker).
- Strong Linux system administration skills for distributed systems.
- Experience with the Elastic Stack and incident management systems.
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, and improve team performance.

The salary range for this role is $110,900–$165,500 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
