Description:
We are seeking an Assistant Director of National Security to collaborate with and support our National Director, providing enhanced oversight for our Security and Health Division, which operates nationwide from the West Coast to the East Coast. This role involves contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of national security policies, protocols, and emergency response plans. The responsibilities outlined below represent the primary duties of the position but are not comprehensive. Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Security division operations on all client sites
- Ensure all Client Sites are provided with high quality security services to protect people and property
- Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with clients, your direct reports and security employees
- Participate in new business development; prepare staffing projections, and conduct on-site assessments
- Design management and execution of training exercises and assessments.
- Lead security compliance projects from initiation to completion.
- Assist in the development and revision of security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay informed of emerging trends in school security and compliance, and recommend updates to policies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance assessments, training sessions, and project outcomes.
- Prepare reports for company and division leadership and relevant stakeholders on compliance status and training effectiveness.
- Write and deliver concise, accurate and thorough reports on all activities.
- Ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met
- Manage & Supervise the day to day security operations of an assigned Client Site
- Manage a team of Security Professionals, Site and Shift Supervisors including; training, coaching, development and support.
- Payroll Support, Scheduling and Timesheets review / eliminating, reducing and managing non-billable overtime
- Coordinate necessary support services to effectively manage client sites to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service
- Ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met
- Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately and ensure the client and security division director is notified
- Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures and allocates resources accordingly / reporting back to the National Director
- Maintains positive working relationships and awareness with local agencies of new trends and developments in the field of law enforcement, crime prevention, fire suppression, fire prevention, and related support services; incorporates new developments as appropriate
- Performs other related duties as assigned and support for the National Director
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Preferred: EMT certifications/ License
- Preferred: Experience working with/ in schools
- Military and/or security experience
- Strong project management skills and experience leading compliance initiatives
- Experience in developing and delivering training materials and modules
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and engage diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and to make decisions
- Proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel 25%
- Strong time management experience required with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Previous payroll, billing and scheduling experience highly desirable
