Symmetrio is actively recruiting for a Field Service Engineer for its client, a leading multi-national medical device company. This role is designed for a motivated professional seeking to advance their career. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining, repairing, and supporting advanced imaging equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction within the assigned service area.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Servicing: Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on advanced AX/XP imaging equipment.
- Independent Field Work: Manage on-site service calls with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and effective equipment repairs.
- Customer Training: Provide operators with training on proper equipment usage to enhance system performance and minimize downtime.
- Territory Management: Oversee financial performance within your assigned territory, meeting or exceeding revenue, expense control, and inventory management targets.
- Asset Oversight: Manage company-provided assets, including a vehicle, tools, inventory, computer, and phone, while maintaining high standards of accountability.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, peers, and company representatives, ensuring excellent communication and collaboration.
- Administrative Duties: Perform all required administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Minimum: High school diploma. Technical associate degree or equivalent preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer specializing in diagnostic systems.
- Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to travel independently (day and night).
- Proficiency with computer-based tools for reporting and communication.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for training, with availability for various shifts and on-call hours as needed.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and excellent judgment in customer relations and asset management.
- Strong technical knowledge, including mechanics, electrical systems, chemistry, and software; familiarity with electronics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is beneficial.
