Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated NOC Engineer Supervisor to join our team and play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the performance and availability of our network systems. Reporting directly to the NOC Director, the ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers, foster collaboration, and drive operational excellence. This role includes overseeing network infrastructure, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing improvements to maintain a seamless experience for our customers.
To excel in this position, you must demonstrate leadership capabilities, advanced network infrastructure expertise, and excellent troubleshooting skills. Your proactive approach will help minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead and mentor a team of NOC engineers, ensuring effective collaboration, skill development, and high-performance standards.
- Establish clear team goals, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
System Performance and Monitoring
- Supervise the deployment and inspection of IT network systems to ensure stability and scalability.
- Oversee the safe installation and maintenance of hardware and software for enterprise systems.
- Monitor network performance and capacity to proactively identify and address potential issues using Tanium or other monitoring solutions.
Troubleshooting and Incident Management
- Respond to network alerts, diagnose system errors, and implement resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Track and document network issues, preparing detailed incident reports and root cause analyses.
Operational Excellence
- Manage system backups and implement robust network security protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to streamline communication during outages or disruptions.
- Develop and update operational processes and documentation to align with best practices.
Technology and Innovation
- Champion the use of customer solutions to deliver unparalleled customer value.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and propose enhancements to improve network infrastructure and customer outcomes.
Requirements
Who You Are
- 3+ years of relevant experience in network deployment and infrastructure management.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Proficiency in SQL querying.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in key network monitoring protocols and system management tools.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
