Our client is currently seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their financial operations and drive the financial growth of their company.
As the CFO, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the long-term financial stability and success of their organization. You will work closely with the executive leadership team to develop and execute financial plans, manage financial risks, and optimize financial performance.
To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the construction industry. Strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to both finance and non-finance professionals are essential.

Requirements
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and forecasts to support strategic decision making.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to assess performance against budget and identify areas of improvement.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reports to executive leadership and board of directors.
- Manage and oversee the financial aspects of the company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
- Lead strategic financial planning and analysis to drive company growth and profitability.
- Direct the investment of profits generated from construction activities into and strategically aligned ventures.
- Develop and monitor annual operating budgets in collaboration with department heads.
- Supervise all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reports and compliance with legal requirements.
- Manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and investment activities.
- Manage vendor relationships relating to finance, tax, legal, and the ESOP.
- Create and manage all accounting and financial processes.
- Manage accounting and financial personnel, establishing proper separation of duties and internal controls.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and board, contributing to the overall strategic goals and operational planning of the company.
- Leading and developing a high-performing finance team.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
- A strong track record of strategic financial planning and analysis.
- An understanding of an ESOP
- Use of Power BI would be helpful in this role.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial management systems and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A CPA or MBA is highly desirable.
