Summit Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play an essential role in providing high-quality healthcare and supporting our healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care. This position requires a skilled, compassionate individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform clinical and administrative tasks, including taking patient histories, vital signs, and lab work.
  • Ensure the proper documentation and maintenance of patient records in compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up visits.
  • Educate patients about their health and medications as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant from a recognized certifying body (e.g., AAMA, AMT).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and work well under pressure.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
